Hatice Şendil — Biography
Born on 2 August 1983 in Istanbul but raised in Antalya, Hatice Şendil studied business administration before turning to acting. She first drew public attention in 2001 by placing third in the Miss Turkey pageant, and went on to place in the European beauty pageant that followed.
After taking acting lessons, Şendil made her television debut in 2008 as Ebru Alemdar in Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, and became widely recognized playing Gülhayat in the 2010 series Karadağlar. Her leading role in Dila Hanım (2012) marked a turning point in her career, and she moved into film with Hayat Öpücüğü in 2015. In the years that followed she appeared in the series Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu (2020) and İyilik (2022).
Şendil is married to fellow actor Burak Sağyaşar, and the couple's public appearances regularly draw media attention.
