Nicole Grimaudo — Biography

Nicole Grimaudo was born on 22 April 1980 in Caltagirone, Sicily. She began her career appearing on the Italian youth show Non è la RAI in 1994-1995, before moving into film, television and theatre. On stage she appeared in Gabriele Lavia's production of The Cherry Orchard (1995) and in Roman Polanski's staging of Amadeus (1999). Her first notable screen role came in the 1996 film Alisea and the Dream Prince, in which she played Sorellina. She went on to play Maja in A Perfect Day, the young Sarina in Giuseppe Tornatore's Baarìa, Alba Brunetti in Loose Cannons, Alice in Workers, and Carlotta in Diamonds — the last three made with director Ferzan Özpetek, with Lunetta Savino and Elena Sofia Ricci co-starring in Diamonds and Loose Cannons. On television she appeared in the series R.I.S. - Delitti imperfetti and, in 2025, in Noi del Rione Sanità. Her career has continued into recent releases, including the 2026 film Solo Mio opposite Kevin James. She remains one of the recognizable names of Italian cinema after more than two decades of work.
