Ozan Çolakoğlu — Biography

Born in Adana in 1972, Ozan Çolakoğlu is one of Turkish popular music's best-known composers, arrangers and producers. He played in a rock band while still in school before going on to study at Berklee College of Music in the United States. His professional career opened when he served as music director on Tarkan's album Yine Sensiz, and he went on to produce and arrange a run of the singer's records from Aacayipsin through Adımı Kalbine Yaz, co-writing some of the songs himself, including the European release of Şımarık. Along the way he also contributed to albums by Hande Yener, Nil Karaibrahimgil, Murat Boz, Nilüfer and Deniz Seki, and arranged Sertab Erener's Eurovision-winning Everyway That I Can as well as Hadise's hit Düm Tek Tek. He has released remixes under the alias Ozinga. He co-founded the production company Sarı Ev before leaving in 2010 to work at dB Müzik. In 2012 he put out his own album, 01, featuring guest appearances by Tarkan, Ajda Pekkan, Sezen Aksu, Gülşen, Sertab Erener, Göksel, Yalın and Ferman Akgül. He has also composed extensively for film, scoring G.O.R.A., Hokkabaz, Organize İşler and Sınav.
