Şebnem Dilligil — Biography
Şebnem Dilligil, born Şebnem Sema Dilligil, is a Turkish stage, film and television actress best known for playing Halime Kaya in the TRT series "Gönül Dağı." Born in Ankara in 1960, she joined the State Theatres in 1981, the year she graduated from the Ankara State Conservatory, and went on to take lead roles in roughly twenty-five plays, including "The Little Prince," "Yaban Ördeği," "Sevgili Doktor," and "Romanoff and Juliet." In 1988 the Ankara State Theatre named her its best actress of the year.
She moved into television in 2004 with "Büyük Buluşma," and went on to appear in "Kuzey Güney," "Karadayı," "Cesur Yürek," "Bizim Hikaye," "Ateş Böceği," and "Bir Zamanlar Çukurova," playing the character Naime in the latter; her performance in "Karadayı" earned her a Golden Butterfly Award in 2014.
On screen she also appeared in "Karanlıktakiler," and in "Ceviz Ağacı," playing a character named Kadife in a film that went on to win best picture at a Brazilian film festival in 2022. She has continued to combine stage and screen work, also doing occasional voice-over work.
