Karadayı is a period action drama produced by Ay Yapım that aired on atv from 2012 to 2015. Written jointly by Sema Ergenekon and Eylem Canpolat, the story unfolds in Istanbul during the 1970s. At its heart is Mahir Kara, who sets out to clear his father's name after the older man is sentenced to death for a murder he never committed; along the way he forms a powerful bond with Feride Şadoğlu, the judge overseeing the case.
