Aslı Orcan — Biography

Aslı Orcan is a television actress who moved from professional dancing into acting and is remembered for roles such as Baroness Lola in Kurt Seyit ve Şura and Leyla in Sadakatsiz. More recently she has run a social-media project for mothers, "Bunlar Daha İyi Günlerimiz", together with Müjgan Ferhan Şensoy.

Born in Aydın, Orcan studied in the Turkish Folk Dance department of the Ege University State Conservatory and worked for a time as a professional dancer. She trained at the Ekol Drama School and took camera-acting and diction lessons from Ayla Algan. Her first screen appearance was in Sır Kapısı; Karadayı and Medcezir (as Deniz Yekeli) made her name, and Kurt Seyit ve Şura brought her to a wide audience.

Later she took varied roles in Bana Sevmeyi Anlat, Kara Yazı, Hekimoğlu, Kahraman Babam, Darmaduman and Bambaşka Biri. In an interview she said she found the audience's hostility toward Leyla in Sadakatsiz a source of pride. She married actor Yetkin Dikinciler in 2014, and they have a daughter.
