Gülper Özdemir — Biography

Gülper Özdemir is an actress who grew up in Germany and built her screen career in Turkish television. Her first lead came as Elif in Kanal D's Tutsak; she was later seen as Hazan in Sen Anlat Karadeniz and as Gonca Aydın in Gül Masalı.

She first encountered the stage in her high-school years and performed in both German and Turkish theatres. Her university studies began in Germany at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and were completed at Truman State University in the United States, and she also trained as an actress in Paris. In New York she joined The Living Theatre company and took part in Judith Malina's No Place To Hide.

Her screen path started with Med Cezir. She then played Simge in Bana Sevmeyi Anlat and Derya in Kara Yazı. Tutsak (2017) made her a leading actress, with Pamir Pekin and Caner Şahin among her co-stars. Sen Anlat Karadeniz followed in 2018 and Gül Masalı in 2022; in 2024 she moved into cinema with Zaferin Rengi.
