Saladin, the Conqueror of Jerusalem (Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi) (translated)

Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi (released internationally as Saladin, the Conqueror of Jerusalem) is a Turkish-Pakistani historical drama series that premiered on TRT1 on November 13, 2023. Sedat İnci directed the series, and its scripts were credited first to Serdar Özönalan and Hasan Erimez, later carried on by Selman Kılıçarslan, Mert Özel, Ayşe Pay and Musab Kul.

The story follows Saladin, founder of the Ayyubid dynasty, as he confronts the Crusaders and works to bring Jerusalem back under Muslim control, while also striving to unite the Muslim-held regions of Syria, Mesopotamia, Palestine and Egypt under a single banner.

Uğur Güneş headlines the cast alongside Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu, Ali Ersan Duru, Sezin Akbaşoğulları and Sezgin Erdemir, with Kanbolat Görkem Arslan as Gümüştekin, Celal Al as Adsız Bey and Barış Bağcı as Raşidüddin Sinan. Produced jointly by Turkey's Akli Film and Pakistan's Ansari and Shah Films, the show was described by its makers as aimed largely at non-Muslim viewers unfamiliar with Islamic history. The series ran for two seasons and concluded with its 58th episode on May 26, 2025.
