Gökçe Akyıldız — Biography

Gökçe Akyıldız is an actress who began as a child performer and has kept working in television series. Her biggest breakthrough was Songül in atv's Kırgın Çiçekler; earlier she had drawn attention in Hayat Devam Ediyor, Fatih Harbiye and Kötü Yol. In recent years she has appeared in Elkızı, Seni Kalbime Sakladım, Akif and Gönül Dağı.

She started in 2002 in the film Bir Tutam Baharat, playing Saime. As a child and teenager she worked in productions such as Sırlar Dünyası, Büyük Buluşma, Beşinci Boyut and Çınaraltı, took the lead in Zeynep in 2005, and played Tekgül in Ezo Gelin in 2006. Parmaklıklar Ardında, Gazi, Sahra and Kollama followed. Her real breakthrough was Hayat Devam Ediyor, which began in 2011, then Kötü Yol and Bizim Okul; in 2013 she played Aslı in Fatih Harbiye and also had a part in Medcezir. Kırgın Çiçekler, which started in 2015 and ended in 2018 with its 113th episode, became her best-known work. After a short break she played in Elkızı, as Deren Tokgöz in Seni Kalbime Sakladım and as Cemile Ersoy in Akif, and appeared as Sofya in Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi.

She was born in Sinop, the third of four children, and studied at Haliç University's conservatory. She married Mustafa Özyurt, whom she met on the set of Kırgın Çiçekler, in 2017; they had a son in 2018 and divorced in 2020. She has also appeared in Lipton commercials.
