Hülya Duyar's career began in stage make-up in Germany, and the Turkish-German actress carried it into television acting for a wide audience in Turkey. Alongside acting she has worked as a producer, screenwriter and casting director. She reached her widest audience as Sultan in the series Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir; today she plays Adile in Doğa'nın Kanunu, which began on Star TV in June 2026.

The first phase of her career was in Germany. Born in Sivas, she moved there with her family in 1978, completed her hairdressing training in 1989 and worked as a make-up artist in theatres; her acting talent was noticed there, and she performed in several German cities and abroad. From 2000 she moved into film and television; Süperseks and Zeit der Wünsche are among her first notable films, and she also appeared in German productions such as Evet, ich will! and 3 Türken und ein Baby. In the second phase she turned to production: she wrote the screenplay of Türk Gibi Başla Alman Gibi Bitir and produced it, and she was among the co-producers of Zenne.

The third phase is her series years in Turkey: Gönülçelen, Deliha, Karagül, Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları, then Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir, Kulüp and Yalı Çapkını. In cinema she appeared in Bi Umut in 2025.
