Fahri Yardım — Biography

Fahri Ogün Yardım was born on 7 August 1980 in Hamburg to parents who had emigrated from Turkey. He entered German cinema in the early 2000s with films such as Kebab Connection and Keinohrhasen, quickly becoming a recognizable face. He is best known for playing the young Hüseyin Yılmaz in Almanya – Willkommen in Deutschland and detective Yalcin Gümer opposite Til Schweiger in the long-running crime series Tatort. In 2013 he took a supporting role in İbni Sina: Hekim, which became an immediate box-office hit in Germany; his other credits include the German films Chiko, Kokowääh, Schutzengel and Honig im Kopf, the international productions Half Brothers and Abgeschnitten, and the sequel Nick Off Duty. Alongside acting, he has also worked as a producer and voice-dubbing artist, building a career that spans both German- and Turkish-language film and television.
