Timuçin Esen — Biography

Mahmut Timuçin Esen was born on 14 August 1973 in Adana. He began theatre studies at Hacettepe University's State Conservatory, completed them at Istanbul's Mimar Sinan University, and later earned a graduate degree in film and directing at the California Institute of the Arts.

He entered television in 2003 as Hakkı Ağa in the series Gurbet Kadını, and won the Best Supporting Actor award from both the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and the Turkish film critics' association SİYAD for his role in Gönül Yarası.

Following series such as Kapalıçarşı, Labirent, Senin Hikayen and Vicdan, he played Faryalı in Bodrum Masalı and led the biographical film Müslüm as singer Müslüm Gürses.

More recently he has appeared in the series Kalpazan and the film O da Bir Şey mi.
