1 Erkek 1 Kadın 2 Çocuk

1 Erkek 1 Kadın 2 Çocuk is a Turkish situation comedy series. The story is built around the everyday life of Zeynep and Ozan, a couple who have been living together for a long time; the events are presented as short sketches set at home, in the car, while shopping or on holiday. Zeynep was played by Demet Evgar and Ozan by Emre Karayel.

The production is based on the format Un gars, une fille, which began airing in French in Canada in 1997 and was later adapted in more than twenty countries. The Turkish adaptation started in October 2008 on Turkmax under the title 1 Kadın 1 Erkek, moved to Star TV in 2012 as Bir Erkek Bir Kadın, and returned to the screen on FOX in the autumn of 2014. From episode 388 onwards the series was named 1 Erkek 1 Kadın 2 Çocuk. Running for a total of eight seasons across three channels, it ended with its 416th episode, broadcast on 8 April 2015.

The episode length varied from channel to channel; the 20 to 30 minutes of the Turkmax period rose to 45 minutes with Star TV. Because it began on an encrypted channel, the series did not reach a wide audience at first, but over time it gained a loyal following on social media. One of the topics debated during its run was the marriage of the main characters, who at first lived together without being married; the press claimed this had resulted from outside intervention, while the producer stated that the decision had been taken in line with their own preferences.
