7 Dwarves – Men Alone in the Wood

7 Dwarves – Men Alone in the Wood (originally 7 Zwerge – Männer allein im Wald) is a 2004 German comedy directed by Sven Unterwaldt. A loose parody of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, it follows seven dwarves who, tired of women, have withdrawn to live together deep in the forest. Their peace is upended when Schneewittchen, fleeing her stepmother, takes refuge in their hut and they resolve to help her. The large ensemble is led by Otto Waalkes and features Hilmi Sözer. The film became one of Germany's most successful comedies at the box office.
