72 Days

72 Days (original title: Sedamdeset i dva dana) is a 2010 black comedy made as a Croatian-Serbian co-production and marking the feature fiction debut of Danilo Šerbedžija, who both directed it and wrote the screenplay. Rade Šerbedžija heads the cast, supported by familiar performers from the former Yugoslav region such as Bogdan Diklić, Mira Banjac, Lucija Šerbedžija, Nebojša Glogovac, Dragan Nikolić and Dejan Aćimović. Shot in Croatian with music by Miroslav Tadić, the roughly 93-minute film opened in Croatia on 20 July 2010 at the Pula Film Festival, before reaching Serbian screens on 23 August 2010 at the Niš film meetings. The picture was also put forward as Croatia's candidate for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, though it never advanced to the final round of nominees.
