Abandoned Child (Bırakılan Çocuk) (translated)

Bırakılan Çocuk (The Abandoned Child) is a black-and-white Turkish drama film from 1950. It was directed by Cahit Irgat, who also appears on screen, from a screenplay by Nurullah Tilgen, and was produced by Fuat Rutkay for the Halk Film company. Necati Tözüm served as cinematographer, while the score was composed by Lütfü Güneri and Bayram Aracı.

The story follows a woman who walks out on her family in pursuit of passing fancies, only to find that the happiness she seeks keeps eluding her. Suzan Yakar, Handan Adalı, Cahit Irgat and Vedat Karaokçu head a cast that also features Ali Küçük, Lütfi Güneri, Şükran Özer, Bayram Aracı, Viktorya Haçikyan and Şadi Şener.

The film was released in Turkish cinemas on 8 September 1950.
