Furto di sera bel colpo si spera
Furto di sera bel colpo si spera — roughly “Theft in the evening, a big coup hopefully” — is an Italian heist comedy written and directed by Mariano Laurenti, with Pippo Franco in the leading role. Laurenti shared writing duties with Francesco Milizia and Franco Mercuri. As its playful title suggests, the story revolves around the dream of pulling off a major robbery, played for laughs in the tradition of 1970s Italian popular comedy. Franco is joined by a large ensemble that includes Giancarlo Prete, Ignazio Leone, Laura Troschel, Aldo Giuffrè, Memmo Carotenuto, Umberto D'Orsi, Andrea Aureli and Piero Vida. Running about 100 minutes, the film blends caper elements with character-driven humor typical of the period's genre output.
