Ma che musica maestro

Ma che musica maestro is a 1971 Italian musicarello directed by Mariano Laurenti. The story is loosely inspired by William Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet, following the love between two young people from feuding families, told with the light, comic and romantic tone typical of the genre, and accompanied by the Italian pop songs of the period. The screenplay was written by Roberto Gianviti and Dino Verde. Alongside the young leads Gianni Nazzaro and Agostina Belli, the large supporting cast features well-known faces of Italian comedy such as Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia, together with character actors including Ignazio Leone and Luca Sportelli. Running about ninety minutes, the film is a cheerful example of the youth-oriented musical comedies that were popular in Italian cinema at the time.
