Giants of Rome

Giants of Rome (original Italian title: I giganti di Roma) is a 1964 sword-and-sandal adventure film co-produced by Italy and France. Directed by Antonio Margheriti — credited under the pseudonym Anthony Dawson — from a screenplay by Ernesto Gastaldi and Luciano Martino, the film is set during the Gallic Wars. It follows a handpicked group of expert soldiers who infiltrate the enemy's stronghold to locate and destroy a secret weapon ahead of the Battle of Alesia. Richard Harrison and Wandisa Guida head the cast, alongside Alberto Dell'Acqua. Running about 95 minutes, the picture was made by Italy's Devon Film and N.C. together with France's Radius Productions, and was released in France under the title Fort Alésia.
