Gypsy's Wrath
Gypsy's Wrath is a 1968 Iranian film that Ismail Riahi both wrote and directed, working with the Sina Film studio in Techniscope format with Technicolor processing, a relatively ambitious technical choice for Iranian cinema of the period. Nathanael Zabolani produced the picture, which brought together several familiar faces of the era's commercial film industry, including Pouri Banai, Mohammad-Ali Fardin, Homayun and Yadollah Mohammadinejad in its principal cast.
Its Persian-language title, which translates roughly as gypsy's wrath, points to a story built around themes of vengeance common to the crime and melodrama genres popular with Iranian audiences at the time.
