Hanım

Hanım ("The Lady") is a 1989 Turkish film directed by Halit Refiğ. It centres on the character played by Yıldız Kenter, one of the most respected figures of Turkish theatre and cinema. Made late in the career of Refiğ, a leading director of the "national cinema" current, the film is remembered above all as a performance-driven piece.
