Kızım Ve Ben (Kızım ve Ben (film, 1988))

Kızım ve Ben is a 1988 Turkish drama directed by Halit Refiğ, with a screenplay co-written by Safa Önal and Erdoğan Tünaş. It stars Gülşen Bubikoğlu and Cüneyt Arkın alongside Yılmaz Zafer, Nilüfer Öz, and Kerem Yılmazer.

The story follows Reyhan (Gülşen Bubikoğlu), abandoned by her boyfriend Kenan while pregnant, who leaves her newborn daughter at a mosque courtyard and is saved from a suicide attempt by the wealthy businessman Vedat (Cüneyt Arkın); the two eventually marry. Years later their now-grown daughter Çağla is drawn into turmoil by an opportunistic boyfriend, and the film follows how that crisis tests the bond between mother and daughter as it builds toward a tragic confrontation.
