Is this life? (Hayat mı Bu) (translated)

Hayat mı Bu is a 1972 Turkish romantic drama directed by Orhan Aksoy. The screenplay was written by Hamdi Değirmencioğlu, father of lead actress Zeynep Değirmencioğlu, who stars alongside İzzet Günay, Semra Sar, Sertan Acar and Serkan Acar.

The story follows a mother who is never able to find out which boy is her own son, and two brothers — one of them terminally ill — who fall for a young woman.

The film was honoured at the 10th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 1973, where it was named best film, Semra Sar received the award for best supporting actress and Hamdi Değirmencioğlu won best screenplay. The song "Al Beni" heard in the film was written by Sezen Cumhur Önal and performed by Berkant.
