Jungle Adventurer
Jungle Adventurer (original Italian title: La montagna di luce, meaning 'The Mountain of Light') is a 1965 Italian adventure film directed by Umberto Lenzi and starring Richard Harrison, with Giovanni Cianfriglia also in the cast. It is loosely adapted from Emilio Salgari's 1902 adventure novel of the same name. The story is set in 19th-century India and revolves around a fictitious scheme, hatched by the Thuggee and the dacoits, to steal the priceless Koh-i-Noor diamond; both the novel's and the film's Italian title refer to the jewel itself. In later years the picture was re-released under several alternate titles, among them Sandok, chosen to cash in on the fame of Salgari's popular pirate Sandokan even though neither the novel nor the film has any connection to that character or his world.
