Love Games in the Convention (Love Games in the Convent) (translated)

Movie · 1972–1974 · 2 people

Love Games in the Convent (original Italian title: Fratello homo sorella bona - Nel Boccaccio superproibito) is a 1972 Italian sex comedy directed by Mario Sequi. It forms part of the decamerotico wave, a cycle of Italian pictures set in a medieval world of flirtation and erotic scheming that proliferated after Pier Paolo Pasolini's 1971 film of The Decameron. The movie's cheeky original title is an irreverent pun on Franco Zeffirelli's Brother Sun, Sister Moon (Fratello sole, sorella luna), released around the same time. Krista Nell and Gabriella Giorgelli head the cast, which also features Sergio Leonardi, Nazzareno Natale, Antonia Santilli, Valeria Mongardini, Francesco D'Adda and Lorenzo Piani. At roughly ninety minutes, the film blends convent-based nunsploitation motifs with the bawdy humor and period costume farce characteristic of early-1970s Italian erotic comedy.
