Tales of Paris (Les Parisiennes)
Tales of Paris (originally Les Parisiennes) is a 1962 French-Italian comedy-drama anthology film. Composed of four independent short segments, it humorously portrays episodes from the lives of Parisian women, following the era's popular sketch-film tradition by uniting four distinct stories under one title.
The segments were directed by Marc Allégret, Claude Barma, Michel Boisrond, and Jacques Poitrenaud, while the screenplay credits include Jean-Loup Dabadie, Marc Allégret, and Claude Barma. The ensemble cast features a young Catherine Deneuve at the start of her career alongside well-known faces of French cinema such as Françoise Arnoul, Dany Robin, Dany Saval, Johnny Hallyday, Darry Cowl, Françoise Brion, and Olga Georges-Picot.
