The Clever One

The Clever One (original Arabic title الناصح) is an Egyptian feature film released in 1949. Seif Eddine Shawkat both wrote the screenplay and directed the picture, making it his very first work as a director.

Shot in Arabic and running about 85 minutes, the film stars İsmail Yasin alongside Magda, with Ferit Şevki also appearing in the cast. As one of İsmail Yasin's early screen appearances, it forms part of Egyptian cinema's output during the 1940s.
