Vatan Şaşmaz — Biography
Vatan Şaşmaz was born in 1974 in İstanbul; however, he was originally from Çanakkale.
He completed his education in the Business Administration Department of İstanbul University.
Vatan Şaşmaz, who worked as a model affiliated with an agency during his university years, met the world of television with the morning program he co-hosted with Melike Öcalan on the ATV channel.
After working as a presenter for many years, he stepped into acting by taking a role in the series Çocuklar Duymasın in 2002.
He also took part in the series Avrupa Yakası, Dudaktan Kalbe, Belalı Baldız, Yalancı Romantik, İşler Güçler and Galip Derviş.
Vatan Şaşmaz was shot and killed by the former model Filiz Aker on 27.08.2017.
