Barış Arduç — Biography

Barış Arduç is a Turkish television and film actor born on October 9, 1987, in Scherzingen, Switzerland. After his family settled permanently in Türkiye, he completed his primary and secondary education there; meeting theater artist Ayla Algan steered him toward professional acting, and he trained at Ekol Drama.

He first appeared on screen in 2011 in series such as Küçük Hanımefendi, Dinle Sevgili, and Pis Yedili, followed by Benim İçin Üzülme (2012), Bugünün Saraylısı (2013-2014), and Racon: Ailem İçin (2015). His early film work included Deliha and Only You in 2014. His breakthrough came with the role of Ömer İplikçi in the romantic comedy series Kiralık Aşk (2015-2017), a performance that earned him consecutive Golden Butterfly Awards in 2015 and 2016.

He went on to headline the film Mutluluk Zamanı (2017) and the series Kuzgun (2019). In 2021 he played İsmet in Kulüp while simultaneously taking the lead as Sultan Alparslan in the TRT 1 historical drama Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu, a role he held until 2023. A goodwill ambassador for the Cancer-Free Life Association since 2016, he married actress and screenwriter Gupse Özay in 2020. In 2025 he appeared in projects including Rüzgara Bırak, Reminder, and Aşk ve Gözyaşı.
