Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu — Biography
Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu is a Turkish actor born in Istanbul in 1994 who trained at the Acting Department of Hacettepe University's Ankara State Conservatory. He first drew wide attention playing Hakan in the youth drama Adı Efsane on Kanal D, opposite Erdal Beşikçioğlu, Gökçe Bahadır and Rojda Demirer. He went on to portray Sultan Mehmed II in the Netflix docudrama Rise of Empires: Ottoman (2020) and has taken roles in a string of films including Grudge (2021), RSVP (Please Respond) and Black Night (both 2022), and Season of Love, Karanlık Gece and Portrait of a Scandalous Family (all 2024). Beyond acting he serves on the board of Turkey's Actors' Union, and in 2026 he was announced to play the singer Kazım Koyuncu in an upcoming biographical film.
