Ece Çeşmioğlu — Biography

Ece Çeşmioğlu is an actress who turned an early start into lasting recognition as Ceren in İki Aile, and who has moved between series, film and the stage since. After a long break, her return to screens in the cast of Yeraltı in early 2026 was reported in the press.

Her work began with commercials and reached series cameras at twelve with Çocuklar Duymasın. In 2006 Ceren in İki Aile introduced her to a wide audience. She played her first television lead as Bahar in Firar, and Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki is described as her breakthrough. The following years were more varied: Atike Sultan in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem, Zeynep in Yüz Yüze, then Söz, Kalbim Yangın Yeri, Yuvamdaki Düşman and Tutunamayanlar. She entered cinema with Ev, a film critical of reality-show culture, followed by Türkler Geliyor: Adaletin Kılıcı and Geçen Yaz. In the Netflix series Yakamoz S-245 she played Yonca.

Her most visible stage step was Dogville, for which she was named Promising Actress of the Year at the Üstün Akmen Theatre Awards. She graduated in 2015 from the Theatre Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory. In 2021 she married the actor Taner Ölmez; the couple have two children.
