Feridun Düzağaç — Biography

Feridun Düzağaç was born on 10 October 1968 in Adana. He is a Turkish singer, lyricist and composer who occasionally acts, known for a melancholic, heartfelt style. He completed primary and middle school in Adana and had his first taste of music in the choir at Adana Borsa High School. While studying business administration at Çukurova University he formed the band TINI with friends in 1988, and in 1990 he co-published a poetry collection, İlk Rüzgâr, with thirteen classmates. His setting of an Özdemir Asaf poem, "Lavinia," became one of the most requested songs on a national radio station, and the band's demo, Öğrenci İndirimi, came out in 1993.

He married Sevgi Güryay in early 1994 and lost his father in a traffic accident later that year; his daughter Tuya Naz was born in 1999. His debut solo album, Beni Rahatta Dinleyin, followed in 1997, then Köprüden Önce Son Çıkış, Tüm Hakları Yalnızlığıma Aittir, and Orjinal – Alt Yazılı, regarded as one of his most successful records; in 2021 he released Sakin with İsimsiz Orkestra. He has written many of his songs on the island of Bozcaada, which he has cited as a source of inspiration. The video for "Beni Bırakma" won Video of the Year at the 2009 Kral TV awards, and Radyo Boğaziçi named him rock artist of the year in 2014. Though not a professional actor, he has appeared in films including Gece 11:45, 2 Süper Film Birden, Derman, Aşk Tutulması and Hadi Be Oğlum, and in the series Binbir Gece. In summer 2026 he disclosed health problems and paused his concerts.
