Giray Altınok — Biography

Though his family originally comes from İzmir, Giray Altınok was born on 11 December 1983 in Erbaa, Tokat, and grew up in Çorlu; he graduated from Pamukkale University's sociology department and trained as an actor at Akademi 35 Buçuk. He made his screen debut in 2011 with Kaybedenler Kulübü, and went on to appear in comedies such as Labirent, Vücut, G.D.O. Kara Kedi and Tut Sözünü, while also writing and starring in Hababam Sınıfı Yaz Oyunları, a sequel to the classic Hababam Sınıfı film series. He directed Bize Müsaade, wrote the screenplay for Aykut Enişte, joined the cast of Güldür Güldür Show, and showed his dramatic range in 2020 playing Cafer in Çatlak.

Since 2023 he has both written and starred in the series Prens, a role that won him the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Comedy Actor in 2024. In 2026 he played Zafer in the film D.I.S.C.O. and voiced Donkey in the Turkish dub of Shrek 5. He married fellow actor Cansu Diktaş in 2018.
