Gizem Karaca — Biography

Gizem Karaca was born on 7 September 1992 in Istanbul. She spent part of her childhood with her family in the United States and Canada before finishing high school in Turkey and enrolling in the French Language and Literature program at Istanbul University. In 2011 she placed second at the Miss Turkey pageant, which earned her the right to represent Turkey at Miss World 2011. That recognition led to her acting debut in 2012 in the series Eve Düşen Yıldırım, followed by roles in series such as Güzel Köylü, Kara Sevda, Seni Seviyorum Adamım, İstanbul Sokakları and Emir'in Yolu. In 2017 she played the character Deniz in the series İçimdeki Fırtına. She also appeared in Hürkuş: Göklerdeki Kahraman, a biographical film centered on Turkish aviation pioneer Vecihi Hürkuş, and in the series Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu.
