Hatice Aslan — Biography
Hatice Aslan was born in Sivas in 1962 and trained at the Theatre Department of the Ankara State Conservatory.
She began her stage career at the İzmir State Theatre before moving to the Ankara State Theatre, building a long stage résumé before turning to television.
Her screen career opened with the series Elif'in Rüyaları, and she went on to appear in Ferhunde Hanımlar, Hürrem Sultan, Kınalı Kar, Mayıs Kraliçesi and Bugünün Saraylısı, among other productions.
Her breakthrough on film came through Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Üç Maymun (Three Monkeys), a performance considered a strong contender for the 2008 Cannes Film Festival's best actress prize, at an edition where Ceylan won best director. She later shared the best actress honour at the 2011 Adana Golden Boll International Film Festival for her role in Vücut.
She has continued working steadily in recent years, appearing in productions such as İçimdeki Fırtına, Kuzgun and Yan Yana.
