Kubilay Aka — Biography

Kubilay Aka is a Turkish actor best known as Celasun, the character he played across four seasons of the series Çukur. Other productions that carried him to wider audiences include Netflix's Aşk 101 and the series Oğlum. He is now playing Aras and sharing the lead with Hafsanur Sancaktutan and Bertan Asllani in Mercan Köşk, expected on ATV in autumn 2026.

His route into acting was an unusual one. He studied airport management at Anadolu University, worked at an airport for a while after graduating, and met a talent manager there. His first job was Ali Kemal in Kanal D's Vatanım Sensin in 2016, followed by Çukur. He stepped into a lead in 2018 with the film Aşk Bu Mu?, opposite Afra Saraçoğlu. In the years after he led Cam Tavanlar alongside Bensu Soral and played a lead in Oğlum on Show TV; İnci Taneleri and Dokuz Oğuz also appear in his credits, and he appeared in the film Zaferin Rengi.

On stage he has appeared in Hücreler (2024) and Fora (2025), and he has done commercials for Axe, Jack & Jones and Clear. For the Çukur soundtrack he recorded songs with Hayko Cepkin and Toygar Işıklı, and he released a single with Cem Adrian.
