Leyla Feray — Biography

Leyla Feray is a Turkish actress of the younger generation who rose through historical dramas and moves between stage and screen. Audiences know her chiefly as Ayşe Sultan in Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem and Gevher Hatun in Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu. In 2025 she joined the cast of the series Cennetin Çocukları.

After studying media and visual arts at Koç University, she began on screen in 2013 with a supporting part in Ben Onu Çok Sevdim; the next year she was Türkan in Paşa Gönlüm and Gül Peri in Üç Arkadaş. Kösem carried her to a wider audience. She made her film debut in 2017 in Kardeşim Benim 2, starring Burak Özçivit and Murat Boz, and in 2019 took the lead in the short film Aries, written and directed by Dila Bulut. In 2020 she played Hüma Hatun in the Netflix production Rise of Empires: Ottoman and Gevher Hatun in TRT 1's Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu, then turned to contemporary stories as Neva Canpolat in İkimizin Sırrı and the painter Pera in Camdaki Kız.

On stage in 2023 she played Mehpare in Tiyatrokare's adaptation of Ayşe Kulin's novel Veda, a role that earned her YEKÜV's award for the year's most successful young theatre actor. News reports in 2025 said she had separated from actor Serhat Teoman, her partner of many years.
