Murat Boz — Biography

Murat Boz is a Turkish singer, songwriter and actor born on 7 March 1980 in Karadeniz Ereğli, Zonguldak. After finishing primary and secondary school in his hometown, he moved to Istanbul, entered Istanbul Bilgi University in 1999 and later continued his studies at Istanbul Technical University. During those years he performed as a backing vocalist for many well-known artists, most notably Tarkan.

He launched his solo career in 2006 with the single Aşkı Bulamam Ben, followed by the albums Maximum (2007), Şans (2009), Aşklarım Büyük Benden (2011) and Janti (2016). Songs such as Geri Dönüş Olsa, Kalamam Arkadaş and Janti topped the official Turkish charts. A player of piano, violin, drums and ney, he served as a judge on O Ses Türkiye and was the winning judge of its first season; his honors include four Golden Butterfly Awards and two Kral Music Awards. Turning to acting in 2014 with Hadi İnşallah, he took leading roles in Kardeşim Benim, Dönerse Senindir, Öldür Beni Sevgilim and Rüyanda Görürsün, and appeared in the series Zeytin Ağacı. In 2026 he drew attention with a song he composed for Gülistan Doku and with the TUZFEST'26 concerts he gave alongside Hadise.
