Özge Özder — Biography

Özge Özder is an actress who has made her mark both on the Istanbul City Theatres stage and on television. She is remembered above all as the "steel princess" Cavidan in Dudaktan Kalbe, Emel in Umutsuz Ev Kadınları and Kıvılcım in Mucize Doktor. In recent years she has appeared in productions such as Gecenin Ucunda and Kirli Sepeti, and in 2024 she took the title role in Leydi Di.

Raised in Ankara, Özder came to theatre during her school years. In the 1996 exams she won a scholarship place in Bilkent's theatre department and a high-ranking one at the Hacettepe Ankara State Conservatory, graduating from the latter in 2000. She began her professional life with BKM and has been with the City Theatres since 2005. Her first big television moment was Lale in Haziran Gecesi, and Dudaktan Kalbe (2007-2009) is regarded as the peak of her career. Ömre Bedel, Umutsuz Ev Kadınları (2011-2014), Kehribar, Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz, Rüya, Sadakatsiz (as Derya) and Gecenin Ucunda (as Sara Kohen) followed. It is said that Emel, who was scripted to die, was kept alive after heavy demand from viewers.

On stage, her Natasha in Üç Kız Kardeş earned her the Bedia Muvahhit Award along with Afife Jale and Sadri Alışık nominations, and she was again nominated for an Afife Jale award for Lena in Leonce ile Lena. She has also recorded songs with her husband, the musician Sinan Güleryüz.
