Özgür Çevik — Biography
Özgür Çevik was born on 27 May 1981 in Ankara and studied philosophy at the Faculty of Letters of Istanbul University.
He first gained attention in 2004 through the talent contest Star Academy Turkey, and that same year reached wide audiences playing Niko, a Greek bridegroom, in the series Yabancı Damat, which became the first Turkish drama to air on Greek television.
In 2008 he released his debut album, Düş-ün-ce, revealing a parallel career as a singer, and appeared in series including Balkan Düğünü, Avrupa Yakası, Leyla ile Mecnun, Evlerden Biri and Kiraz Mevsimi.
More recently he starred in the film Masallardan Geriye Kalan and played Demir in the series Ben Leman.
