Sacha Bourdo — Biography

Sacha Bourdo, born Aleksandr Burdo on 8 January 1962 in Oryol, in what was then the Soviet Union, later settled in France and became active as both an actor and a musician. He entered cinema in 1997 playing Nino in Manuel Poirier's Western, a role that earned him a César nomination for Most Promising Actor.

He worked with director Michel Gondry on four separate films: The Science of Sleep, Be Kind Rewind, Mood Indigo (L'écume des jours) and Microbe and Gasoline. He won praise for playing a conscript in the Soviet-Afghan war in L'étoile du soldat, and also played Jeff in Freeway Rhapsody, a windshield washer in The Race, and Niko in Bazar.

Bourdo has also appeared in a television adaptation of Les Misérables and remains active in film.
