The Choice (Babil)

Babil is a Turkish drama and psychological thriller series produced by Ay Yapım. Directed by Uluç Bayraktar from a script by Nükhet Bıçakçı and Özlem Yücel, it premiered on Star TV on 17 January 2020 and ran for two seasons, ending with its 20th episode on 20 November 2020.

The story follows İrfan, an idealistic economics professor who is pushed to the edge after being unjustly dismissed from his job. While struggling to secure treatment for his seriously ill son, he finds every door closing on him, until he is drawn into a dark and dangerous adventure from which there is no easy way back.

Halit Ergenç and Ozan Güven lead the ensemble, which also features Aslı Enver, Birce Akalay, Nur Fettahoğlu, Mesut Akusta, Onur Saylak, Selahattin Paşalı and Veda Yurtsever.
