Blackie the Pirate

Blackie the Pirate, originally titled Il corsaro nero, is a 1971 Italian-Spanish pirate comedy directed by Vincenzo Gicca Palli, who also co-wrote the screenplay with George Martin. Terence Hill takes the lead role, while his famous screen partner Bud Spencer appears in a supporting part — an unusual arrangement, since the popular duo shares very little screen time together.

The supporting cast includes Silvia Monti, George Martin, Diana Lorys, Sal Borgese and Edmund Purdom. Running 99 minutes, the film was released in Germany as Freibeuter der Meere and in France as Le Corsaire noir, where it also circulated under alternative titles such as Les deux flibustiers.
