Brother and Sister

Brother and Sister (Die Geschwister) is a 2016 German film directed by Jan Krüger. Set in a Berlin district where affordable flats are hard to come by, it follows Thies, a rule-bound property manager whose orderly world shifts when he meets two very different siblings, Bruno and Sonja. He quietly arranges an apartment for them off the books and drifts into an affair with Bruno, drawing ever deeper into the pair's private world of trust, intimacy and unspoken secrets. Hilmi Sözer and Özgür Karadeniz are among the cast. The film is a restrained drama that examines the fragility of human relationships against the shifting urban fabric of contemporary Berlin.
