Gridlocked

Gridlocked is a 2015 Canadian action thriller directed by Allan Ungar from a screenplay he co-wrote with Rob Robol. David Hendrix, once the leader of a SWAT unit, is stuck on routine New York police assignments after an injury sustained during an operation, a demotion he refuses to accept. As part of a diversion scheme, he is put in charge of Brody Walker, an arrogant movie star shadowing officers at the station to prepare for a role. While the two tour a police training complex, armed mercenaries storm the building to seize goods kept in the evidence room, forcing the ill-matched pair into a joint battle for survival. Dominic Purcell and Cody Hackman lead the cast, alongside Stephen Lang, Danny Glover, Trish Stratus and Saul Rubinek. The film premiered at Fantastic Fest in September 2015 before Netflix picked it up and released it worldwide in July 2016.
