First Kiss (İlk Öpücük)
İlk Öpücük (First Kiss) is a 2017 Turkish romantic comedy directed by Murat Onbul. Loosely adapted from the 2004 American film 50 First Dates, it was released in Turkish cinemas in October 2017.
The story follows Hakan, a carefree charmer in a seaside town who avoids commitment, keeping company only with his abandoned brother-in-law and five nieces and nephews while drifting through brief flings with visiting tourists. His life is turned upside down when he falls for Bahar at first sight. Bahar, however, lives with a rare condition: since an accident, she has been unable to form new memories and wakes every morning believing it is still the day of the accident, roughly two years earlier. Her devoted father and brother recreate that same day over and over to spare her pain. Hakan joins their elaborate charade, determined to make Bahar fall in love with him anew each day even though she forgets him by morning.
Murat Yıldırım and Özge Gürel star in the lead roles, supported by Cezmi Baskın, İlay Erkök and Gamze Karaduman.
