Lucifer
Lucifer is an American urban fantasy crime series developed by Tom Kapinos, based on the DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for The Sandman and its Vertigo spin-off. Tom Ellis stars as Lucifer Morningstar, the Devil, who grows bored of ruling Hell and relocates to Los Angeles, where he runs an upscale nightclub called Lux. When a pop star is murdered outside his club, Lucifer feels unfamiliar emotions stir and ends up becoming a civilian consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department, solving crimes alongside detective Chloe Decker while undergoing profound personal change. The supporting cast includes Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D. B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris and Aimee Garcia. The series premiered on Fox on January 25, 2016, earning mixed reviews in its first season, and the network canceled it after three seasons in May 2018. Following a fan campaign, Netflix picked it up a month later and produced three more seasons, concluding the show with its sixth season on September 10, 2021.
