Future Groom (Müstakbel Damat) (translated)

Müstakbel Damat is a 2020 Turkish comedy film directed by İlker Ayrık, who also takes one of the leading roles. The screenplay was written by M. Serdar Fırat and Serhat Sarı. The 103-minute film was released on 13 March 2020.

The story follows a prospective groom who sets out to ask his beloved's family for her hand in marriage. Sema and Hasan are a couple planning to wed, so Hasan travels from Istanbul to Cyprus, where Sema's family lives. His arrival on the island turns its peaceful life upside down, as the flustered and clumsy suitor drags the family into a series of bizarre situations. The leading roles are shared by Erdal Özyağcılar, İlker Ayrık and Hande Soral.
