Over My Dead Body

Over My Dead Body (German: Nur über meine Leiche) is a 1995 German romantic black comedy directed by Rainer Matsutani, starring Katja Riemann and Christoph M. Ohrt. The story centers on Fred, a selfish womanizer whose wife, fed up with his endless infidelities, hires a hitman to have him killed. After dying, Fred finds himself in Hell, where he strikes a bargain with Death: if he can mend the broken hearts of three women he has wronged during his life, he will be granted a second chance among the living. The film opened in German cinemas on 31 August 1995 and went on to receive several awards. Udo Kier and Ulrike Folkerts appear in supporting roles.
