Take it from the top (Vas-y maman)

Take It from the Top, originally released in France as Vas-y maman, is a French comedy film made in 1978 and directed by Nicole de Buron. The picture features an extensive ensemble of performers familiar to French audiences of the era, among them Annie Girardot, Dominique Lavanant, Anémone, Claude Piéplu and Catherine Samie, together with Charles Millot, Robert Castel and Roland Giraud. Filmed in French, it stands as an example of the popular comedies produced in France in the late 1970s, marked by a large, largely female cast of characters. De Buron, who also worked as a novelist and screenwriter, brought her experience with light, character-driven material to the production.
